I was playing the Beta and I honestly hate this game. The original is way more fun. DoW2 isn't an RTS anymore, it's a tactics game. My main issues were the difficulty of controlling units, finding units in the first place and the poor friendly AI (ie: units looking for cover across the map when I would rather they just shoot).

Of course it's still just a beta right now, so it can't be said it'll stay that way, but I'll keep trying it out since a friend of mine really loves this game and wants me to team up with him.

Im a big fan of the tabletop game. So im kinna used to the crazy routing rules that were making your units run across the map. I am looking forward to the tactical aspect. The only other game I found that was tactical like that was the original Ground Control. This will be refreshing.

Company of Heroes is another tactical type game developed by Relic (same company making DoW 1&2). If you want to try out a similar, already released tactical.

I'll probably pick this up. I'm a big fan of Warhammer 40k, and Relic's strategy games. I'd definately be up for some multiplayer.

Warning for those who are thinking about buying this game. It demands quite a bit of video card performance. Try the demo to see how your system performs.

Fax, I would love to play online with you guys, but my machine just cannot handle this game. I'm going to have to wait until I get my I7 machine at the end of the month.

I'm spoiled, I just upgraded in the fall. Nothing is quite as frustrating than an playing an RTS game on a choppy computer.

Had a blast playing with Fax on Friday night. We played one skirmish map and then one of the campaign missions in co-op mode. Good times man!

I have got to get into some of the multi-player, but i have been so swamped with work and home drama that i have been bearly even been able to log into wow. Things seem to be finaly calming down though, so hopefully i can get some "ME" time.
