Any good scoop on this? From what I can tell, it's basically an iPhone 3G, but with a faster processor (very much needed), and some pre-built in apps. New apps include voice control (which I won't use). The camera will now let you take movies (possible already with apps on an jailbroke 3G phone); and send pics via MSS (also already possible on a jailbroken 3G phone).

Any word if they are going to allow MMS on iPhone 3G's now? There's no hardware reason for a 3G not to be able to as it is. The only reason I haven't jailbroken my phone already is because some of these features were to be unlocked in the future; so I hope that rumor is true.

The apps come with the software upgrade, available to all current iPhone owners. They aren't exclusive to the 3GS.

MMS is coming, (again, to everyone with an iPhone) but ATT has got some work to do first. ETA is end of summer.

Camera is improved (3 megapix), and supports focusing (touch the object you want to focus on.) This will finally enable bar-code reading.

The new phones have more memory at the top end. The 8gig models are getting price slashed (99 dollars with contract.)
