I love the "Sherlock Homeboy" look I get by wearing the baseball cap backwards (for neck protection) with the mask's visor facing forward. :)

People may look at me funny when I walk onto the wooded field wearing USMC cammies and flak jacket, kevlar, and with a full combat load but I don't have to worry about welts. :)

(minus the ALICE pack, well...it's with me to hold gear but I don't wear it during a game).

I also wear the standard issue M40-A1 gas mask on my hip, as you would in combat, to protect against such attacks. On the field I play at, smoke bombs, etc are allowed. It's not uncommon to be bunkered in a structure and have someone assault your position with smoke grenades. I just don the mask...and throw paint down range.

Aside from being armed with a paint marker versus an M16A2, I could walk right off a field and into a combat exercise without needing to acquire additional gear. ...right down to the issued canteens, medpack, tactical load bearing vest...the works.

I, of course, have woodland camo, not black. Ballcap backwards? Bleh, I don't mess around :)
