Open Wireless Router

So like I said, I found an open wireless router accessbile from my house. I couldn't figure out to whom it belonged but I figured it was my job, as a good netizen, to close the open hole. I finally got back into his/her router and blocked everything with a .com and a .net. I then changed the password to the admin panel. About three days later, the router went off line and then came back with WEP installed. Mission Accomplished.
