Since the Quake Wars Demo has officially been released, why not celebrate with a good, old fashioned AK gaming night?
Let's plan on this Thursday at 9pm EST. This will give everyone ample time to download the demo, configure their keys, and get Ventrilo working again. Head to the main Ventrilo channel and we can jump into a public server and shake the rust off the WASD keys. Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to attend.

I'll download this tonight never been a quake player but hell if it brings some of AK out to play then I am in. ;)
Cranked up every setting and it ran pretty good on my aging machine. I may tweak down some of the graphics to improve performance, but overall it was stutter free (unlike bf2 out of the box).
Game play is interesting. Objective based in which only certain load-outs can perform mission critical tasks. Pubbing this game may be tough as some folks will not be focused on the mission thus making it impossible to win. However, well coordinated teams should do well.
Graphics are good
I'm still figuring out all the buttons and as I don't use the arrow keys, I can't speak of those.
Sounds were good

Installed. Played a match against the computer to learn the controls. Looks like this might be a lot of fun :)
