Wednesday Scrim with Clan DoM (Special Forces)

I have been playing on a server ran by clan =DoM= . They are a really good bunch and run a decent server.
I told them we usually play on Wednesdays and would love to play on there server.

Wednesday, 6pm pst If you have Special forces, Lets meet on vent to play these guys.

Server is only 18 players but Dom-Mike (there leader) said he should be able to admin the server to allow us to connect. Depending on turnout we may actuall password it and do a full on scrim..

FC: DOM is where we played the other day (not the empty server)... Warlord right? They seemed okay and I'm really starting to appreciate Warlord... I just needed to play it a bit more and develop some tactics.

Yes it was the server. I usually play there now unless its full.. I miss playing with ya Nuts. Get a mic and also turn on your in game VOIP.

My $50 best buy gift card just showed up in the mail yesterday. I'll get a new headset tonight.

I've also started to play POE since Sunday. I no longer care about stats / ranks. Big rumors on the net is that EA is going to drop the whole system anyway...

I don't think that they will considering they are building Battlefield 2142 off the BF2 rankings as "veterans" entering the game.

Even if not, I'm tired of the whole thing. While it was nice to 'earn' things for my efforts, the rankings are now so corrupted with padders, glitchers and exploiters that you really can't be ranked against any other player. EA is getting slower and slower in reseting players and they never hardware banned anyone... even those with multiple PB GUID bans. However, you don't find nearly as many of these cheaters on non-ranked servers... hence, screw ranks. Heck I reported a glitcher Strychnine-RZ, a Major General for glitching. I included screen shots of him under the palace floor in Warlord making kills. EA opened a ticket and closed it the next day with ZERO ACTION. What a joke.

Ranking has ruined this game. Entire servers filled with people running around handing out ammo bags or sitting out of bounds fixing jeeps. It's just stupid. The goal of BF2 was to introduce more team (squad) work into the BF series... instead, it created an entire culture of cheaters who focus solely on their ranks instead of team goals. I can count the number of times I've worked with a good squad on one hand. Everyone is so concerned with achieving their individual goals that it makes it no fun for me.

I can't cope with the 40 hour WoW work weeks, but I at least expected to have an hour or two of fun, team playing in BF2 only to see it wasted playing with tards on pub servers.

Sounds like you need to find new servers... because I don't run into anything nearly as much trouble as that. In fact, I can only remember one night a couple of weeks ago where I even suspected someone of cheating.

Granted, it's hard to get good teamwork on pubs, but in general when I've played I've had alot of fun and I still like the rankings.

Perhaps it's because I only play SF... don't know.
