I am finally comming back soon.

Well I just ordered the last of my parts for my new build. So hopefully when it gets here, It wont take long to get back up and running. I'll finally be off my laptop of death.
It only took about 5 months of buying parts when I could spare to.

    Here is my new setup.

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 8M Quad Core 1066MHz Socket LGA 775.
EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard (support tri SLI Config).
COOLER MASTER REAL POWER PRO 850W SLI.
PNY GeForce 8800GT 512MB PCI Express x16 SLI Video Card.
    OCZ PC2-6400 2GB SLI Certified-Ready memory.
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case.
    Western Digital Raptor 150GB 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache H/D.
    Western Digital 350gb Sata 7500 rpm 16mb Cache H/D.
750 GB Seagate Free Agent Pro external Hard drive.

I haven’t decided yet weather to install Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista Business version. I have both.

    What’s your opinions on this?
I'll be mostly gaming and using Adobe Creative Suite 3 Premium, mostly for Flash and Dreamweaver for editting a few websites I have.

From what I've seen of VISTA I believe it's just a new version of the virus formerly known as WindowsME.

Just load WindowsXP and avoid all the headaches for awhile. There's very little of DX10 content worth putting up with all the deficiencies of VISTA for.

I put one of these in my PC and now I can just stick in a new HD when I decide to ever experiment with VISTA without having to worry about hosing my system. No trays, I just have a couple of HD "gaskets" from CyberGuys and stick the HD I'm not using in one of those.

Nice-looking rig! That oughta give you some great framerates in WoW!

Just kidding--Fax and I are currently playing a Combat Mission play-by-email campaign, and I've been playing a good bit of Team Fortress 2 of late. (In between marathon sessions of trying to finish Oblivion.)

I cant wait. Just waiting on the Processor (ordered yesterday) and I’m up and running.
I have Orange box unopened, Crycis unopened, (been dying to play both but wanted to wait and get the real experience) and Ill finally be able to play Quake due to there dumb ass update that whipped me out. Also Call of Duty 4 which I love.

I like that drive Hylander. For 35 bucks, that isn’t bad at all. I may pick one up also. You mentioned gaskets from cyberguys? what are they needed for? Will I need if I get that drive?

It's just something to store your hard drive in when you remove it from the drive bay. Since there are no "trays" with the CoolDrive, it's nice to have something to put the HD in. The back side is open, so technically you could place a hard drive in it and run it externally as well. They are $10 at Cyberguys.

Well I'm back to waiting.. I had everything built and up and running (i was drooling all over) for a few days but turns out I got a bad motherboard and I'm waiting for the rma to be approved. Then send it back and wait for new one. Man I hate this waiting

When it was running, It was screaming fast. I overclocked the q6600 2.4 to 3.6 with it being totally stable with great temps on air. Just amazed. CoD3 and Crysis looked awesome!
Like I said I got teased and now I'm back to waiting.

I must say, evga tech support is the best I have ever dealt with though. I'll be buying from them or there brand from now on. You get a live person (American even) every time, and I think the longest I waited to talk to a tech support guy was maybe 2 minutes. I highly recommend there products even though I got a bad MB. You cant beat service...

    Well the wait continues...

(problem with motherboard was it wouldn't boot half the time due to a conflict with the video card pcie16-1slot. The tech support said it was extremely rare case. Figures it happens to me.)
