I use AVG. I use it because it's "lite", and I haven't come across any conflicts of any kind so far. I even use the Enterprise Edition here at work on all the Credit Union PCs.

AVG because it's free, lite and easy.

McAfee Virus Scan--8.0 on my XP machines and 8.5 on my Vista machines. It's site licensed by work and required on the work computers, so I install it on the home computers for consistency's sake.

Switched to Sophos as it's the best out there... hell the FBI, CIA, NSA and even the Vatican City uses it now. You can't buy it at WalMart (I got mine from work) but if you can get it, it's very good at what it does, stops viruses... nothing more or less.

Then I use SpyBot & AdAware.

When I'm looking for hacks/pirated stuff etc., I use TOR to mask my IP on the network... Comcast won't do traffic analysis on my packets when I use TOR so I can get around their bandwidth throttling. I throw in PeerGuardian to protect myself from RIAA/MPAA monitoring while using Bittorrent.

I use a Mac, and don't worry about viruses and spyware.

On my PCs I use AVG and stay away from questionable sites (including the WOW forums and their keylogger links.) I am also sure to never, ever use any of the Windows Email apps on those machines.

AVG is by far the best I've used, Anti virus and Anti spyware. I'm a reseller for them so if your still in the market and need a break on the already low price let me know.
