Thought you may enjoy seeing what we rode out last night. The first time in 40 years tornado's actually touched down within the Memphis Metro area.

I was within a 1/4 mile of a much smaller one along time ago. Wish I had pics to remember, but I'll never forget the excitement I had, and terror my parents had. (I was 10 y/o IIRC)

Saw some of the aftermath on the news this morning, glad you didnt get caught up in that. Roger aka Tanker was happy to be safe and sound on the West Coast

Wow! Glad you are OK. We got the same storms through here, but no major damage in Louisiana. I hope the last few weeks aren't an indicator of how hurricane season is going to be!

So true..... Being the weather nut I am I kinda enjoyed seeing it but it did get a bit hairy there for a bit.

The coast has hurricanes.....California has earthquakes....All part of it I suppose.

These storms whipped up so fast it was hard for anyone to be really prepared. The weather guys have come leaps and bounds over the years and it was amazing the job they did last night.

The sad part was those spawned before the real "storm" arrived which made clean-up and even damage assessment almost impossible until this morning.
