    Today won't work.

But I will probably be around this weekend.. just let me know a night and time.

I have the box version of CIV IV, but I purchased the first expansion pack via Steam. I love not having to worry about the CD/DVD.

Fax... I apologize but I don't think I'll be able to make it tonight. We have some unexpected guests.

I completely understand. Let's meet up another time this week. I'm pretty much free, so just let me know.

I bought Civ IV and the Warlords X-pack last night on Steam, and I'm going to have it for the weekend.

Had alot of fun last night guys... thanks for playing! As mentioned, I have a Board Meeting to attend at 6:30, but I'm going to try and be out by 7:45 so I "might" be able to be around by 8:30ish if you guys want to pick up our game.

I'll be on tonight--though I may be playing from the laptop thus requiring one of you guys to load our save.

I figured out what the issue was on my laptop (obviously). It's running McAfee (due to work rules & regs; v. 8.0 at home and 8.5 on the laptop), and there's a rule enabled by default to disable the common IRC ports. Apparently Civ 4 uses 6667 to process GameSpy ID logins. Also, preexisting GameSpy IDs don't work--only ones created within some version of Civ 4.

To add to all this, I've installed Civ Iv on my travel laptop and have been playing single play some this week. In the few hours I've been able to play, I have to say I'm really enjoying this game. After a little more practice time on this one, I think it would be a lot of fun to join up with you fellows some time for some group play. Is there a limit to the number of on-line players in one game?
