I figure if Nuts can have a video thread I can have a thread about the stuff I love.

COOKING

I know we have some other foodies in the place. Beast and Squid and Camel come to mind. Palooka no posting about tuna fish and green beans!

So here's what I've been craving.

Jack Daniels chocolate sauce
8 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup butter
3 tablespoons Jack (if Swae is around might put in a LOL more and hide the bottle)
3/4 cup corn syrup
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
combine everything but the cream and melt either in a double boiler or carefully in the microwave stirring often and Don't scorch the chocolate!!!!
Add the cream stir it up

Now pour it on stuff and enjoy!

I suggest cake or icecream or strawberries

I love cooking - especially when someone else is doing it.

My wife watches alot of the Food TV shows.. and I occasionally watch Iron Chef America, etc. But if I had to eat what those people make... I'd be a size 2. Once they start making pate out of liver or start making lobster ice cream contraptions - I'm ready to hurl. I'm not into the FiFi Foods. Give me a great BBQ (steak, chicken, ribs, etc) or some good Italian and I'm happy.

Warning...There's some "FiFi" stuff going on. As an example, the sea bass is pretty "stuffy", but it's incredibly delicious and worth the effort. The sweet potato agnolotti is borderline orgasmic.

Tonight I'm making homemade pasta and a bolognese sauce.
