I have been playing this again the last few days as I have been bored with wow and aoc as of late. Is anyone else still playing this at all?

I think I'm going to have to uninstall/reinstall--it won't load up since I upgraded my rig and went to Vista. I'll probably do that soon and might be around for a casual night here and there--I'm really enjoying AoC.

Have not loaded it since I upgraded. Didn't really have any plans unless a bunch of folks are getting back into the game. Are there any new maps yet? Any new features? I grew kind of bored of the the same old thing.

I still have it installed but didn't think anyone was still playing. I enjoyed it I just got bored with the few maps they did have.

I've grown bored of all the MMORPG stuff as of late. AOC was fun until I left Tortage and after 2 weekends with nothing but crickets in guild chat I'm done with it as well.

Yeah same here Brorlis I have grown very bored with wow and aoc at the moment, I do enjoy FPS games though so will be picking up Bad Company next week and play that for a while while waiting for BF3 to come out which I read an article should be around the end of the year.

I tell ya... QW was the first fps game I played but I really really liked it. I think it was the whole play a few maps and log off thing I liked the most. Besides WoW got just a little too serious for my taste. If I can't get tanked and wipe the raid in MC and everyone laugh it off It's just not fun

I have it, but just never really got into it. The game play was choppy, the skill delta in that game is steep, so if you're not uber awesome, you spend most of your time dead. And it just doesn't replace Desert Combat. When I get back, I may fire it up again if folks are playing.

As to WoW, most of the Elite's who made the game a serious life priority have moved on. As to AoC, I plan on getting it upon my return to the US, which I think is something like a month from now.

Download the Orange Box and start playing Team Fortress 2.

It's a great game, and there are a number of AK playing it. I started to reinstall QW last night, then realized it was going to install multiple glitchy Punkbuster services on my machine, so I quit the install. Valve Anticheat is much less obtrusive.

I tried QW briefly about six months ago using what I thought was a near-supercomputer, and pretty much had a slideshow. The last couple years I've become a bit of a graphics snob and refuse to run anything at less than max settings. Unsurprisingly, I gave up quickly on QW and have recently been having a great time with TF2.

For me, the Source engine has always been very efficient with super framerates and good physics models, resulting in great gameplay. Also, the Source engine allows you to write your own macros. In what is almost a tribute to its roots back in the Quake days, many of the old commands still work.

After the obligatory week of getting my ass kicked at TF2, I've improved greatly and have began writing my own macros and tweaking my setup the way I like it, and it's been a blast! (Pun intended.)

I only wish I had somebody to talk to and cooperate with, and can only hope more AK'ers become interested in TF2.

Just grabbed TF2 a little while ago trying to find something to kill the bordem and man..This thing is addicting.

There are custom maps out now if folks are just interested in playing they are not on ranked servers, so obviously you wont earn rank but get to play new maps.
