No Madden 09 on PC

I just heard this fun fact, and let me tell you, I am PISSED. I'd been hoping that this year they'd port the PS3/XBox version instead of the PS2 version as PC hardware gets faster and better. I am NOT shelling out $400 for a console just to play one or two sports games--no way. One of their executives has a blog post of excuses.

All of a sudden, I'm not so worried about it--I'll just download someone's roster update from '08. From the CNN.com review:

The audio has undergone the most jarring change: Al Michaels, the veteran TV broadcaster, is gone, and John Madden himself has been demoted to the halftime show and the training levels. Their replacements in the booth, the bland Tom Hammond and the insufferable Cris Collinsworth, are poor substitutes.

Cris Collinsworth=teh suck.

Dropping $400 on a PS3 gets you more than just a game system for playing Madden; you get a great Blu-ray player, too. Besides, there are other games worth playing on the PS3, including Metal Gear Solid 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4. I've never been much of a video gamer, but I love my PS3! I've hardly touched my gaming PC in the past year.
