If it makes you feel any better F*C, I went w/ [AK]Clay - of fricken course! This wasn't really serious. Though, MHO - ya got a point. Show your colors, or why have them? The whole "sickens me" part is a little weird.

In my case, I'm sometimes uncomfortable using my RL name in more public venues. Most randoms I meet in on-line shooter games I just as soon not know my name. Hence the thought. If'n you cared. But, as you say, why be in AK if not willing to even show the tag? And here, you get a cookie too:
