Customized "Sins of a solar empire"

I downloaded Sins of a solar empire http://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/ with the nex x-pak the other day. and then i found this site, http://sins.imperial.cc/

and now im hooked. If your a fan of the old game "Masters of Orion" (1+2, no one liked 3), then you should realy check this out. Brain stimulator but not too overly complex. and the StarWars mod just puts it over the top.

Nothing says love like a fleet of Star Destroyers!!!!

I have been thinking about trying to expand my standard game list. I have stuff installed that I play occasionally, but nothing has quite hit hard enough to keep my attention for more than a week, most don't last past 48hrs. Fax, with all the games you have I know you must know what I mean.

I am really looking for an alternative to WoW that still has the extended development aspect of WoW.

I hate that i have devolved down to just WoW. Cuz it is such a source of headache.

I have this game as well. Haven't played in a long time either, which is too bad because it was a lot of fun. I'd love an excuse to reinstall it.

Recommendations on where to get it? (I.e. Steam? Retail? other?) I still feel the fool for having paid $40 for L4D while others got it for like $10.
