    Windows 7 Discounts?

Anyone know of a good way to get Windows 7 at a discount?

My current copy of Vista is a Vista 64 Basic "update" edition, so I'm not going to be able to update it to Windows 7. It would be a pain to do so anyway ... I'm running Windows 7 Beta, so I'd have to uninstall it, install XP, upgrade it to Vista, then upgrade that to 7.

I do not have access to any student discounts, and it's probably still over $200 with my Employee Purchase Program (which seems pretty worthless).

    Thanks,

If you have access to a .edu mailing address and can pass yourself off as a college student you can try this:

    1. Go here and see if you qualify using your college email address.

    2. This will download an installation file to your PC. Now go here and turn that file into an installation DVD.

Using the WinToFlash utility to create a bootable USB installer of Windows 7 is very easy and actually fun to do. Here is the direct link to their site.
