    The login servers are pretty wacked out right now.
    The sun has fallen down
    And the billboards are all leering
    And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles.

    Ya, yesterday was a crappy afternoon for the login server. My server does require authentication, so even once you can get past the client login, you still have to re authenticate against mine. We were having issues there last night also, but found that if you kept trying (2-5 times) it would eventually accept the connection.

    And the IP:Port info is available in the private forums. Once you login to the client, just hit multiplayer and plug that in.

    I tried about 20 times last night to get on, but kept getting rejected for various reasons.
    I'll give it another shot tonight. Their authentication server scheme is in need of an overhaul IMO.

    Indeed. I know the guys only a developer and probably doesn't have the infrastructure background to support his needs. But seriously, with money flowing in the way it is for him, he best hire some folks to get that cleaned up ASAP!

    The good news is everything seems quite stable on the server hosting side of things. Yesterday during the outage, I temporarily changed the server to accept non-authenticated users and everything worked alright. Only issue with leaving it that way is we ran were only able to have 1 player on at a time..

    I was getting a message for awhile about a java error. Then I was getting something that mentioned that I need to be a premium or premier (or something) user. Can't remember the exact wording, but I am registered, so it doesn't get any more premier than me - lol.

    Supposedly they are in the process of migrating to new server(s). I'll keep my fingers crossed that it works and authentication returns to working consistently.
