On the MSU campus Kazaa doesn't work, so I'm looking for another p2p downloading system, I was just wondering if any of you guys used them and if so then which ones.

Kazaa Lite here. All the Kazaa goodness w/o the Spyware.

Where did you happen to stumble across this diamond in the rough?
You can get it here: http://www.kazaalite.com/
Word to the wise... the original Kazaa is LOADED with Spyware. I mean LOADED. I would highly recommend NOT installing it on your system. If you already have then go out to CNET and get a program called Adaware. Adaware locates and removes Spyware from your PC.

kazaa lite is exactly the same as kazaa; kazaa lite just doesn't have the spyware.
installing kazaa lite on a network that's banned access to the kazaa servers won't work.
I found out that WinMX (never heard of it til now) works here, it's kinda difficult to use but it works... thnks anyway guys.
woot.. winmx is pretty sweet, even if it doesn't have all the people Kazaa does..

It's been my experience that while WinMX doesn't have as many users, they tend to have a wider variety of files shared. There's a site I read where one guy starts each week's column with a "Song of the Week", usually an obscure alt-rock/punk band, and I've found the majority on WinMX, with only a few coming from Kazaa (Lite version, of course). Not as many places to download the latest Britney Spears track, but that's a small loss (actually, no loss at all! )
