    I need a File ASAP

I need sys_32.exe for Windows ME, a virus on a friends computer screwd it up and now you cant run any .exe files.
If someone could do a quick search on their computer copy it and send it to fmdrewski@hotmail.com that would be great.

I hope this will fix it

If you still need it this evening, I'll send it to you when I get home. I have NT at the office.

Sorry, I don't have that on my system. I looked in my windows/system directory, and I don't see anything that would be even a close match. You sure thats the file you need?

It says thats the missing file, it might be on windows ME only, I'm not sure, but I might be able to just reinstall.

Try a search on the entire computer, it might not be in the system dir.

I did a search on the computer for sys_32.exe, sys_32.* and checked my system directory. I can't find it anywhere....

I have windows ME. You may want to do a reinstall.

welll I don't want to format the thing, cuz thats alot of work moving the files and such. But I don't think I can re-install because setup on the CD is an .exe file and thows dont work.
Does anyone know what the problem is? cuz I don't.

I'll defer to those windows savy, but I believe you can just reinstall the OS kernal with minmal disturbance to your system. Pretty much the same way how people upgrade from one version of windows to another. All their applications, etc are still there. There should be an install option of that nature.

I have reinstalled just the winME os without disturbing anything else, no format required.
