Last night was a blast, I picked up a few neat tricks and got a feel for good organized team play (big difference from my pub play the past two days) however..

I was having a lot of sound issues, which is why I was in and out so much. In the end I was able to keep team speak up and running with no static or intereferance, but I lost all the sound from BF1942. SO I was playing silent, which made it a bit tough to know where people were, or where the battle was emerging. Any ideas on how to address this?

    Thanks in advance.

Thorn set the sound in TS to wav not direct sound leave the in game sound settings the way they were. If you still have issues let know and maybe I will stop by and see if we can figure it out.

Also, the sound in 1942 will occasionally "blink out". I was playing around in solo mode yesterday afternoon, and suddenly was unable to hear gunshots. Explosions and vehicle noise still came through, but gunshots were totally muted. Weird.

Thanks guys. I tried going in and out a few times, rebooting, and changing a lot of different settings but still had no luck. =P

Gun your welcome to drop by anytime, if you don't mind little old Rotterdam. Especially if you can fix this, no sound=NO FUN.

A couple of things. If you are using a SB sond card make sure you have the latest drivers installed. I had tons of sound problems until I installed the latest drivers. I also run with my sound settings at minimum settings and NO hardware acceleration.

Updated my drivers to the msot recent ones (Think I had them anyhow) and still am either getting sound from Team Speak with no sound from BF1942 or I shut Team Speak off and can hear the sound in BF. I have to assume it's a setting somewhere, but good god it worked fine in CS, so I am baffled. Played with it last night for about an hour until I was too frustrated. Hopped on a pub BF server and practiced up.

Yikes... I don't think the PCI 64 is full-duplex enabled... Might be time to break down and splurge ($30) on a new card...

OUCH! 30 bucks? heh. Ask Stitch I am perpetually broke, and terminally cheap on top of that.

I'll have to see if thats the issue though thanks for the feedback. If I am able to pick one up what would you recomend for my 30 bucks (OUCH)?
