    Wednesday Scrim with Horsemen?

    Sup Guys,

We were wondering if you would be up for a scrim on Wednesday evening at 9:00 PM EST. We can play whichever maps you wish (eg the ones on your upcoming match), and can provide a server if needed. Please let me know if you are interested, either in this thread or via ICQ 3782297.

    Sterben,
Sounds good. We should be able to drum up at least 12 guys.

Maps will be Stalingrad and Kursk, if that's ok with you.

Please respond with server info to squidly@augustknights.com
and I'll relay it to AK in our private forum.
    Thx...!

I was kind of hoping to get into your practice server tonight. I've already gotten the recruitment packet, I just have to download teamspeak yet. Would I be able to get in on this scrim at all?

Not this time, Dayo... we'd like to get you in for a couple of practices first. What you can do is load teamspeak, and then in the evenings before pubbing, get on and see if any other AK are around. We often pub together on "off nights".

We've got another scrim on Monday against the Kindread so the pub route will be the best way for you to to get some "face time" before next Wednesday.

If you are going to be around on 'off nights', you can post something in this forum to see if anyone else is. You can also drop by the TS server and see if anyone is on. A lot of AK'ers will sign on to TS while pubbing to see if anyone else is about.

Yep, we often get enough that an impromptu practice will start.

alright, cool, that sounds good. Well then, I'll probably be on around 7 or 8 tonight on pubs (that's eastern time) if anyone else would be on. BTW, do you go by your real name or nick while on teamspeak, as in, 'llDayo protect the base!' or 'Randy protect the base!'. Randy is my real name. I've never used anything like that so I don't know what goes on, I'm guessing it's like conference calling over the net or something.

Just downloaded TS and tried it but said server doesn't exist or is not logged on. I had all the info right so I'm assuming it's not turned on fulltime. I'll try again tonight.

TeamSpeak server is now back up and running. Normally, it runs 24-7, but the entire town's power was just out for about 30 minutes. I don't keep it on a UPS, so it was offline, but should be back now.

    That's actually quite funny

It goes off for 30 minutes, when I'm at lunch, now I'm back at work and it's running again, lol
Oh well, I'll try later tonight.

I would like to thank all of AugustKnights who came and participated in the scrimmage tonight.

I apologize for not having 12 guys show up, we had some last minute problems with a few guys that prevented that.

I congratulate you on your obvious victory, if you guys play like that against whomever your match is against, you will prevail. This was our first competition as a team (and it shows ), but it was a good experience and shows us what we need to work on. I thank you for the opportunity, and I hope that we can get together for future scrimmages.

On a personal note, since I was in charge of the server, I ask for any comments as to the server and/or the admining of the server, I've read many posts in TWL about bad managing of matches vis a vis server admins, I hope I did a decent job but any comments/complaints would be appreciated so I know what to work on with future scrims/matches.

Again, good job guys and Good Luck with your upcoming match

    Sterben,
I thought that you did a fine job managing the server and maps. We really couldn't ask for anything more. GGs, lets do it again soon.

    Sterben,

I would have to second that I thought you did a good job. Good games.
