    Good CPU working Temperature ?

I have a cheap case with no case fans, i have a ASUS P4PE MoBo and a P IV 2.26 Ghz CPU. I bought a Vulcan 7+ CPU Heatsink+Fan with a manual speed switch.

    At low is 3000 RPM's
    Mid is around 4600 RPM's
    and High is 6000 RPM's

I notice when im done with BF1942 my CPU temp at LOW Speed Settings is around 45-50C, and noise is not a problem, and on High settings the temperature is around 40C but noise is extremely loud.

What is a good working temperature, can i leave it at low settings and be ok. How Hot do you run your CPU?
