    Talking all things internet

i don't think that my service is having a problem with bandwidth, but rather, it's my [new] computer.

all the games, browsers, applications, etc. that uses my isp connection have been slow as hell (if hell is slow), and i notice a consistant string of momentary "pauses" in the connection (the status indicatior on taskbar doesn't show any activity either way). from my experiences on my [old] computer, i may be missing a file necessary for optimal performance, or it may be damaged. i may consider doing the first disk format for this new baby.

but before i start doing some file uploading, i'd like to know if there may be anything else that could be the matter.

    thanks in advance

    Warning

Kinda general with some information there... but:

What OS are you running, is it different than before?

    Same modem, or different?

And yes, if you are running the OEM install of OS/Software that came with the PC, the first thing you should do is format the sucker and put on a fresh, unviolated OS.

nevermind the problem. it's been the isp's fault all this time.
