No, but I have copies if you need them. I'm upgrading to 9.0, why 8.0?

Basically to make a long story short I am setting up a MySQL server out in another part of the country to tap into our accounting software since we are building a shopping cart on our website for our dealers to use in our network.

The IT Director out there wants to use 8.0 since he thinks 9.0 still "isn't right".

But, I am the one that will have to live with it.
What we have here is two IT Directors triyng to share a project.....
    Me and Him....
Since it's his house over there and his network, I am trying to be tactful....

    Anyway.....
What do you think about 9.0????

Sorry about dup post of the question. I hit Browser back and reposted in error. I had some issues 8, with video and mouse support. (All resolved via config changes) I'm upgrading to 9 mostly due to it will be supported longer than 8 via RH support. Also these new features:

    Linux Kernel 2.4.20 *
    GCC 3.2.1
    GNU libc 2.3.2 (with NPTL)
Web server powered by Apache httpd 2.0 *

    * what I care about. Also I will be installing BEA WL 8.1 for J2EE support to play around with.

    And
    New graphical configuration tools:
Personal firewall tool for dynamically adjusting security settings.
Peripheral configuration tool for graphic configuration of devices.
Display configuration tool to adjust resolution and placement.

And Just because I can: to see what its like LOL
