Have I been banned?

Hello, my name is Schnizzler. I was playing Galactic Conquest on your server last Sunday when I was suddenly kicked from the server. Since then I have been unable to connect to your server despite several open slots. I think I have been banned.

If this is the case, I would like to know who banned me and why. I didn't do anything wrong. I am good at dogfighting in the tiefighters (I had around a 140-30 when I got booted). But I don't think someone should be banned because they are good. I can only assume you guys feel the same way. I don't TK, I don't cheat, and I don't talk smack.

I can only assume that someone thinks I am cheating. I have been accused of this more than once while playing GC. I have never cheated, ever. The tiefighters are simply more nimble than the Snowspeeders and I take advantage of that.

What must I do to get un-banned?

The IP address of the computer from which you posted the above message is not one of the banned IPs. Give me the IP address of the computer on which you play the game, and if it is in the banlist, I will un-ban you.

Personally, I haven't banned anyone accused of cheating by other players. I am accused of cheating all the time, usually by inferior players who can't understand why I hand them their asses with such ease. Thus, I don't put much creedence in such claims unless I can see blatant cheating for myself, which I have not.

Is there some other reason I would consistently get a "Failed to Connect to Server" message? Thank you for the swift response.

I un-banned the only IP address beginning with 216. Let me know if you can get in now.

No, I can't. Hmmm, I wonder what it could be. Any ideas? I can connect to other GC servers with no problem. Thanks for your help.

Well, it's not a firewall issue, then. I'm running out of ideas.

Are you behind a firewall? I have found entries in the log indicating that packets sent from the server are being rejected by an IP beginning with 216 every once in awhile. I'm not a network guru, but if those entries are related to your problem, it could be your firewall.
