Mmm, last I heard they were still using the Dues Ex 2 game engine, which seriously under-whelmed me when I played that. Along with being much more console-centric then the original thief's, being dual-developed for the box.

Plus the levels are pretty much designed from the 3rd person POV layout, as that's what they designed the primary view to be. Trying to capitalize on the metal gear solid system, I suspect. Which is totally un-thief like, IMO.

Definitely on my wait and see list. I hope everything turns out awesome, but after DE2 I'm much more skeptical.

I'm with Katana. They hosed Deux Ex with a dose of consolitis. I'm hoping and praying they haven't simlilarly dumbed down Thief 3.

Ditto. Thief and Thief 2 are among my all-time favorite games. I hope to God they haven't ruined it. I'll probably wait a bit and read some reviews before I buy.
