    Talking Buh-Bye 3DFx

It is a sad day in the 3d world.....the once king of the graphics card has finally fallen. Seems they are selling the core 3DFx to Nvidia and disolving the rest of the company.

The bright side, is a combo of 3DFx tech with Nvidia tech == Very fast cards. good for us.

There is some info about it on Voodooextreme.com and also some business stuff on yahoo quotes. Look up tdfx symbol.

My new machine has an Nvidia card, I'm pleased with it...though I haven't tried to many games, etc. Curious how it will handle Tribes II.

    Stop

Ah well, the company had long ago given up on true innovation. Nvidia was wiping the floor with 3DFx.

3DFx just continued with GLide ... when they should have gone with real OpenGL like Nvidia.

That's my perception, but I admit I may be wrong.
