And I'm sure you'll supply us with all the good overclocking features that this card can offer once you have it up and running.

I'll give you a preview right now Stitch.

In order to O/C, you will need to upgrade to 5 external power supplies, from the 2 it will require at stock. If you hop on your left foot 15 times, do a meditation session for 2 hours, and then ask it really, REALLY nicely... you may get within 80% performance of an ATI card.

But, the colors will be brighter than on the ATI! Isn't that a good trade for all that performance?

GT takes only 1 power connector, has the full 16pipes, is a completely new generation chip, only needs 300watt psu, comes at 325/1000 and has been overclocking to ULTRA levels 400/1150 range average, should come with a nice bundle at a fair price, uses only 1 slot and just plain looks to be a really neato generation of hardware.

Its called GT, anyone whos lived thru the 80's has to appreciate that

Don't waste your times guys. Just wait for the PCI Express stuff to come out and jump on board with that stuff then.

This X800 and 6800 are both just the last of the AGP crop for ATI and Nvidia. Don't get pulled into spending the money right now!

A friend in the industry told me the PCIe stuff is not really "mature" yet. He advised me not to waste any money on it until the second-generation stuff arrives. The performance of the current PCIe video cards and Intel's new processors are not that noticeably better than the current crop of high-edn equipment.

PCIe doesn't do much of anything at this point in terms of performance. Yes, it is the standard for what is coming, but having an PCIe card now or in the near future won't get you any advantage. By the time it does, the next gen cards will be out and you will be wanting to replace the X800 or the 6800 anyways.

?? 16x isn't much of anything?? Take a look at some of the articles out there. It's gonna be crazy-awesome in terms of performance. You have little faith Hy-baby.
