Fantasy Football post

With the NFL preseason closing in on us, I wonder if anyone would like to start up a small free fantasy football league on Yahoo's free fantasy sports section. We'd probably do a live online draft, which would take 3-4 hours and would probably take place on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon/early evening, or we could do an "autopick" where players are assigned based on a draft order submitted in advance by each player. If you're interested, post that you're interested and PM me the e-mail address you'd like me to use to invite you into the league. It'll be just for fun, and if we've got room it'll be open to friends and family members as well (I've got two that I'd like to invite myself).

I'd definitely be interested. I was even thinking about doing a full league on Yahoo anyways.

Yeah, the plus leagues are cool, but I remember someone (Hylander or Squidly, if memory serves me correctly) tried to get a "premium" league going last year, and a lot of the responses (mine included) were along the lines of "That looks like fun, but I don't want to pay to play." I'm already in one other fantasy league on Yahoo Sports with some RL friends, and it's a lot of fun.

We'd discuss that with the folks who'd be in--if we're going to do it live, we have to find a time that's good for everyone, otherwise we'll do it "list-based" where you rank your picks in the order you want them, and the computer gives you the highest pick who's available when it's "your turn". Maybe Palooka could give us a fantasy football forum to use until December so we could set this up?

OK, we've got six so far plus one or two others I'll invite in. If any of you know of someone else who might like to play, have them e-mail thebeast@augustknights.com--this will be an open league. The league will have its own forum, so we can use that for FF related stuff rather than clogging this board and annoying Squidly (and the other FF-haters).
