    D-Day

This is mostly for Fax -n- Beast, although I think Choozoo also expressed passing interest in it.

This weekend is the D-Day event at Skirmish. I was originally gung-ho for it, but now I'm a bit ambivalent. I can play at On-Target for half the price, get more hours in, and not have to drive 2+ hours to get there. I'd only be able to play Saturday, so the whole night-time aspect is irrelevant.

On the other hand, it's a pretty darn cool scenario.

If you guys are into it, I'm there.

I'm with you. I'd rather put the money spent on entrance fees and hundred dollar cases of paint toward my new gun. That said, I'd love to join you at On Target.

Okie...I'll pencil in Sunday at On-Target and we'll firm up as the week goes on.

Ok, I'm a go. 8:30am Chez Squid? Bring X-Tra water, it figures to be another scorcher.

Sounds like a plan to me. You can bet I'm bringing plenty of sunscreen too, I got a bit "toasty" last time it was this hot.

FYI, the ECX website has been updated and now claims a July opening date for their field. They've also opened a paintball store even closer to my house than the field itself. I'm going to stock up on ammo before tomorrow--I'll be checking it out this afternoon. Here's a link to the field description and photos.

I was going to say that my local store is selling Severe Atmosphere paint for $35, if you're interested.

Bribo and I used it a few weeks ago and it was pretty decent (we paid $60 a case for it, so $35 seems like a bargain.)

    Just something to consider.

Oh, and that field looks pretty darn cool.

I went to ECX and picked up another half case of paint--add that to the case I have left over from last time, and I think I'm fine on the paint front. I had a friendly chat with the kid working there, and found out that they're not renovating their existing field; rather, they're moving to a new, larger field (the largest in the state, according to the clerk) that's even closer to my house than their old one (for Fax, it'll be where US 13 hits Route 1). The bad news is the opening date has been pushed back to mid-to-late August. Ah well, I like On-Target just fine.
