All right, I've got the bug...

Time to get me an electronic marker with a compressed air system. (Especially when I learned that my bonus will pretty much be enough to cover an entry-level electronic marker, mechanical hopper, and compressed air tank.) I was browsing on Actvil last night, and discovered some great "last year's models" in my price range--a 32 Degrees Silver Bullet, and a Dragunfire TES Sniper. I'm leaning towards the latter based on the reviews from pbreview.com--anyone else know about these guns?

To be quite honest, I would save my money for a mid-level electro rather than flirt with the low end (I mean it'd only be a modest upgrade from your current setup.)

Fax's BKO is very reasonbly priced and is a kickass performer. Save for a couple of weeks longer and you'll be able to afford the difference in price - and will be happier that you did.

Actually, from what I can tell, those are mid-level guns (or at least the Dragun TES Sniper is). They're last year's models, and remanufactured, hence their price is about half of the MSRP listed on PBReview.

It's one of those guns that "doesn't have a rep" on the local fields...probably because the area stores around my way don't sell them. That's neither good nor bad, it just makes it hard for me to give an opinion (comparing them to other guns in that range.) None of the guys in the store had any experience with them when I mentioned them today either...fwiw...

Interesting--it rated a 9-point-something out of 10 on pbreview, but I tend to take those with a grain of salt.

I did a little research and found that it's a hybrid blowback gun--are yours and Fax's both electro-solenoids?

In most cases ratings are delivered by owners of the product in question...
It'd be nice to have a series of reviews by repair technicians and tourney players...

Both of our guns are electric (non-blowback.)

Yeah, that's what I thought. I now think I'm going to wait until next month--I found out I've got a second lump-sum coming to me mid-August. If I'm going to upgrade, I'm gonna go all-out to a full electric--no more blowback.
