Computer Using the same printer on 2 home PCs

I have two PCs networked via a Linksys BEFSR41 Cable/DSL Router. My wife's boss just gave her a HP1120C Deskjet printer that they recently replaced. It works fine. I'd like to hook it up here at the house and I'd like for both computers to use it. It has a parrallell port cable. I imagine I need an adapter that will allow the computers to share the printer. Can this be done? If so, how?

Should be able to connect it to one of the computers, set it up to be shared on the network and then be able to print off both computers..

Sounds right, at least in theory..

If I understand you correctly, you have a small network at home with 2 PCs on it. If so, just go on the PC with the printer connected directly to it and go into the control panel. Select printers and faxes. Then right click on that printer and select properties. Then go to the sharing tab and select to share that printer, name it and voila. Your other PC should be able to see it and then you can print to it without a problem.

    Computer Sharing files?

Got it to work guys, thanks!

One other question, How do I share files (.doc, .jpg, .mp3 etc.) from one computer to the other?

Pretty much the exact same procedure. Just go to the hard drive or directory you want to share, right click and select properties, then select to share it.
