Tribes 2 Update Server is down

Thats right...Sierra's update server is down. They are working extremely hard to fix this quickly. They should have the server back up in a week or so after submitting another buggy patch which will cause the entire T2 community to come to a massive halt. Shortly followed by a reverse patch 48 hours later to take us back to the original bugs that started the problem in the first place.

I read that it is a DOS Denial of Service attak on sierra. It killed all of the authentication features and shut them down. I read it on www.voodooextreme.com.

Hopefully will be up sometime tonight.

In order to get into T2 when the update server is down create a shortcut on your desktop pointing to target: C:\Dynamix\Tribes\GameData\Tribes2.exe -online

I just right-clicked on the Tribes 2 Online shortcut and did a copy/paste to my desktop. I then modified the target link as above.

Works like a champ...

Hi, just wanted to mention an addition to that target:
C:\Dynamix\Tribes\GameData\Tribes2.exe -online -login 'username' 'password'

This makes things a little quicker.
