Curiosity (i.e. non-buying--my iBook is all the laptop I need) question--was there some performance factor that drove you to sell this? Looks like a cool laptop....

Beast.. not a performance factor at all. My wife wants a larger screen LCS/desktop system. If you notice, this thing is not exactly the most 'portable' laptop around So other than me taking it downstairs on Sundays during football, it mostly stayed on her desk. The primary reason is she says the resolution on the screen was taxing on her eyes (She's getting old )

I never tried playing any hard core games on this thing really, but it does play Raven Shield and the Sims just fine with the ATI 9000.

So I'm thinking of taking the money from this and probably building a Shuttle System or perhaps an FIC Condor

    FC,

Just an FYI that the winning bidder has yet to make contact. I've sent two invoices and a separate message for contact with no response. Unfortunately, I can't file anything with EBAY until 7 days, which will mean Monday. It may just be because of the Holiday, but you would think if someone bid $1,550.00 on an auction he might notify the seller he is going to be away for a few days.

I'm not sure what Ebay's procedure is.. if I sell to the next highest bidder or what, but I'll keep you posted.

Contact the next highest bidder and inform him of the situation and make a offer to him that if contact isn’t made soon that you’d be willing to sell to him at his high bid. That way you get the ball rolling just in case you never hear from the high bidder. I sell cars on eBay and have to deal with that allot.

I did send the 2nd highest bidder a message.. but I don't want to break any Ebay policies. I figure if the highest bidder doesn't pay, that accepting the 2nd highest bid is appropriate as long as I pay the Ebay listing fees, etc. I can't file a claim until Monday, so I'm pretty much in a holding pattern until then to see if the winner makes contact or not.

Just an FYI... The winning bidder never made contact and the 2nd Chance Offer I sent was not replied to by the next highest bidder. So hence, I relisted the item HERE.
