This is not just their opinion. It's shared by a large percentage of conservative Americans.

Some claim the U.S. doesn't have the manpower, money or resourcess to fight illegal immigration.

Oh I think we could muster the resources however the administration is soft on immigration.

More than claims. This comes straight from Pres Fox. He does not believe in borders except on his side.

More than that, the administration does not want to upset anyone south of the border.

It's really simple! Get a green card and come up legally. Why is that so difficult to understand by illegals as well as Americans? The media would love to see an incident on the border with the minutemen. They show you one man wearing camos and sporting a side arm. They want to scream vigilante. The local townspeople already are.

Want to stop illegal immigration?

Offer a $1,000 reward to everyone who reports an illegal to the authorities. Then fine any company caught hiring them a back-breaking, bankrupting amount of money ... say $100,000 apiece for a medium sized corporation. Make it so that hiring illegals is not worth it. With the job market cut off, the illegals would have much less incentive to come.

Cut off the citizenship birthright, and only allow U.S. citizens to give birth to U.S. citizens. And force an immigration check through the school/welfare system on a national level.

That might stop most illegal immigration. Otherwise, it's going to take more men and resources than we can spare.

By the way: Having a different viewpoint from you is not the same thing as pounding you. There's no malice from my end, just providing food for thought.
