    Another Star Wars Review

    From the New Yorker

I don't think they liked it much, but then again like many Blue Staters they have a serious "We are smarter than you" complex going on.

    Money Quote:
The general opinion of “Revenge of the Sith” seems to be that it marks a distinct improvement on the last two episodes, “The Phantom Menace” and “Attack of the Clones.” True, but only in the same way that dying from natural causes is preferable to crucifixion.

    Money Quote 2:
The young Obi-Wan Kenobi is not, I hasten to add, the most nauseating figure onscreen; nor is R2-D2 or even C-3PO, although I still fail to understand why I should have been expected to waste twenty-five years of my life following the progress of a beeping trash can and a gay, gold-plated Jeeves.

Ah hell, the thing is loaded with money quotes, go read it.
    The sun has fallen down
And the billboards are all leering
And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles.

What do you expect from "The New Yorker"? Sure, the dialog was bad and the characters wooden, but damn it was still a fun romp.

By the way, I forgot to tell you in line ahead of me and my family was this uber-nerd dressed all in black. He had the black trenchcoat which he had pulled the sleeves inside-out on to make it look like a cloak whiih he wore hanging from his shoulders. He had these black horn-rimmed glasses and hair that looked like it hadn't seen soap in a few weeks. The first thing he said to me in line was "Look what I downloaded last night." It was a copy of the script which he had printed and meticulously bound in a folder complete with a cover. He was so proud. He then said - "I'm going to really like this movie because it has a lot of the Sith in it and.. well.. you know.. I am a Sith."

At this point I leaned over to the wife and kids and told them not to make eye contact.

I later saw him down in the 5th row turning around in his seat and torturing the people behind him.

I'm a geek but this guy was taking it to a new level.

If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.
