Something like that happened in '89 in Houston. A guy fell through and then he couldn't pull himself back out because of the angle of the shards of glass. He was bleeding badly and no one could hear his screams. A few hours late the cleaning crew found him... he had lost so much blood he almost died before the paramedics got there.
