Live draft date pick

The vote came out tied, so I'm making the executive decision to do a weeknight--probably about 9 Eastern/6 Pacific. Last year's draft took less than an hour to do, so we should be able to get everyone to bed more or less on time (myself included)!

Vote for a day--I'd like to do the draft before the first week of preseason (during the week of August 1), but if it's really a problem, let me know and we can go the following week instead.

Also, if you haven't received your invitation and want to play, let me know. If you have received your invitation but are having problems joining, let me know. If you've received your invitation but have been putting it off....hurry up ya slacker!

Last year at least some of us were on Ventrilo and when you log onto the Yahoo site for the draft, you go into a 'draft room'. It will tell you who is picking, when its your turn, etc. It shows you who is still available, and their FF "rank". Or if you took the time to go in and rank the players yourself, it will show them in order of your 'rank'. All the players available are already listed, you just log in and rank them accordingly. You can rank them by position and overall.

If you didn't show up for the live draft, the Yahoo draft system would automatically fill your roster based on rankings (yours if you have them, theirs if you don't) and position. IE, if you had RB listed in your top 3, and it already drafted 2, it would go to the next highest ranked player that is not of the RB position. But this is all irrelevant if you are at the draft as you manually draft your players as your turn comes.

It's actually pretty fun. Once the draft is over, it has built in mechanisms for cutting / adding / trading players and there is a 'waivers' mechanism as well with the lowest ranked team having the first shot at released players, etc.
