    Rock Star: Van Halen

I heard last week that next seasons Rock Star: will be Van Halen ! To me I think that is terrible. Their people that try out on those shows are kids. Van Halens target audience is a bit older and a lot pickier. Remember Gary Cherone and his one and only album with Van Halen. What they should do is patch things up with Diamond Dave. That would be a huge show if they were to bring back David Lee Roth. what do you guys think about all of this?

This is my 300th post. I am hearing bells and whistels also seeing confetti falling from the sky lol.

The sound is all about the wood and the pickups. Bartolini all the time...

Grat's on the 300th post Bassi. I think Van Halen is all washed up. The last good album they did was 5150. Everything after that has been just plain awful. It makes total sense they would be on Rock Star. I hang my head in shame at Eddie VanHalen and his massive ego.

I'm a huge Van Halen fan... and I also happen to be a huge Sammy fan, I think that if true, it is a horrible idea.

I have no interest in seeing DLR on stage... it would be like watching the rolling stones and waiting for the geritol and centrum silver billboards to start appearing. The last time I saw DLR he looked like dead man walking.

I liked Gary Cherone (I liked Exxtreme), but that album left alot to be desired to say the least. There were a couple of songs that were OK though.

    Time to retire VH.

After DLR left, Van Halen ceased to exist. They put together a couple of passable albums with Hagar, but they weren't what I consider to be Van Halen.

If it wasn't for DLR, Van Halen would've progressed towards the putrid use of synths much sooner than they did. VH was at its best (not most lucrative, mind you) as a guitar band.

Damn, and I was hoping for RockStar: GWAR!

I just hope that don't pull an INXS and hire a failed Canadian Elvis impersonator to front the band.

The problem with the last show was the constant, "I know you guys lost someone," and, "This song is about losing someone... which I know you guys understand." Jeez Louise, get over it.

RockStar:Metallica would have been a cool way to find their new bassist.

Maybe next year we could go super-cheesy: Rockstar:Winger or Rockstar:Stryper. W00T!
