    Xbox 360 X-Platform Controller

    What a great idea:

"Microsoft, seeing the potential of the controller for PC gaming, has decided that the upcoming Xbox 360's controller will use an actual USB port to be used on either the 360 or the PC without chopping it up."

Just what I need--another platform on which to bleed money on games at $50 a pop. No thanks.

Games are $60 a pop on xbox360, so you will bleed a bit more on that....

Saw it at Best Buy the other day. COD2 on a hi-def monitor looked friggen amazing. That said, I'm going to hold off for awhile. Besides I still haven't played COD2 on my pc yet.

I'll be passing... at least for awhile, after the new Playstation drives the prices down in a price war.

Ps3 isn't even gonna have a chance to survive, if the Launch plan I've been hearing holds true...

Halo 3 coming out on the same day would be the death of PS3, initially.

I do hope you are looking into Rear-Projection LCD. Overall the quality and performace is pretty much best of the bunch. Your only downside is that blacks come across as very dark grey. Only other alternative to Rear-Projection LCD would be direct view LCD, but the cost goes up with the larger screens.

Advoid DLP for now (trust me)

Run away fast from Plasma (burn in is a bitch)

Sounds like they all have problems. Thin profile CRT is the way to go. Samsung is making some thin profile (16") HDTV CRT TV's that avoid all the problems you listed above.

I agree.. and the picture is phenomenal. I believe LG.Phillips is making a thin CRT as well. You can get a 30in HDTV wide screen format Samsung for about $900. Great buy if you aren't in the need of a 60in behemoth.
