Immigrant Boycott

This whole thing really ticks me off. But before I put on the rant shoes, let me make a statement about my position:

1) I'm pro immigration - lawfully
2) I think our immigration system is severely flawed
3) Illegal immigrant "demands" for US citizen rights pisses me off to no end
4) If your country is so great that you must parade and fly it's flag in our country to complain, then go back to it. (There is a huge difference in these acts than those of say Italian Americans, Irish Americans, etc. celebrating their heritage.)

First off, I think we should have our military, police, and immigration officers at these events randomly checking the immigration status of the participants. This will put a huge dent in the 13 million who are here illegally. Arrest them, deport them. It's that simple.

The following are my opinions on the matter and how they should be resolved:

1) Lock down the borders. We need more patrolman, better technology, and enforcement of existing laws. I'm not sure a fence will work, but if it's high tech and will help, go for it.

2) We need an immigration policy that allows enough time to do background checks and thorough investigations without making people who want to legitimately become Americans jump through impossible hoops that takes years to accomplish. Our current system punishes the legitimate while the criminals profit from their ways. Just visit this site to read all about the complexity of the issue.

3) This new policy must require the ability to speak ENGLISH and/or a timeframe to complete a class that verifies that they can.

4) I have no problem with a guest worker program for those that want to simply come over and make money doing jobs that most Americans don't want. However, there should be a re-issuing of the guest worker license that requires at least a limited re-investigation and background check after a specified period of time. Any felony conviction is an automatic denial and/or deportation after required prison time (if any).

5) No amnesty for those who are here ILLEGALLY. Not putting them in prison is amnesty enough. I don't think we need some massive manhunt in order to accomplish getting them to leave. Enforcing the new legislation that puts the burdon on employers to make sure they do the proper background check and filing of papers will put a crimp on the ability of these people to find jobs and they will soon fall in line and go through the proper channels.

6) Absolutely no, none, NADA public services that are paid for by US tax dollars outside humanitarian aid.

I'll back you on that with a few minor changes.

The speaking english thing wouldn't fly. Bill Clinton already passed a law that effectively made the U.S. a Multingual society. (Executive Order 13166 ).

So while I don't think English should be required for citizenship, the government should not be wasting our money printing and managing in multiple languages... it retards the ability for immigrants to succeed in our culture.

No guest-worker with out sponsorship.

To enroll your child in school, you must provide proof of citizenship.

More enforcement of existing laws.

This subject really gets me going...

1. All illegal aliens should be found, locked up, and deported immediately. No, just because their baby was born here does not mean it is a citizen, the baby goes with. Any citizen rights goes out the door if your parents are illegal.

2. We should construct a fence line along the whole border of Mexico, followed by a mine field, followed by another fence line, followed by a mine field. The last line should have people posted with automatic weapons every 500 yards or so. And yes, shoot whatever comes across the line.

3. Anything that has to do with Bill Clinton should be undone.

4. Yes, believe it or not I am pro-immigration as well, how else did everyone get here in the first place? My ancestors were legal, your ancestors were legal. But, like the liberal party goes everything the founding fathers did was wrong so let’s change this as well. But, you will do it the right way Amigo.

5. What we have here is nothing short of one ethnic group wanting to change the country in their favor. Hmmm... That sounds like racism to me...

6. I probably should not be putting down the liberal party since I might be voting for them in the next election if the Republican party does not get out from under the desk of the oil companies…

1. Deport them, all of them. I don't care how they got here, if they're illegal they don't belong here... simple as that.

2. Fence I support, mine field is a little too extreme. However, posts every few hundred yards with snipers should do the trick. They see them crossing, they shoot them and ask questions later.

3. I am pro-immigration as well, as long as its lawful. And part of Immigrating is Integrating, they have to want to be apart of our country and conform to it... not the other way around.

4. Why would you want to vote Liberal in the next election when its likely to be Hilary Clinton?...

I've said it before -- fine companies $10,000 per day for the time they employed an illegal worker. If this bankrupts them, so be it. Their successors will be sticklers for paperwork and cooperating with INS.

Deport all illegals immediately upon their discovery. They can make their appeals from their countries of origin, just like legal potential immigrants would.

No social services for illegals. These are services funded by the taxes I pay as a legitimate citizen of my country of birth. Where do these people get off thinking they can just sneak across the border and cash in on free education for their kids?
