up and running

ok, so I finally get a new video card installed (new PC is on hold because of a plasma TV purchase), installed all and patched up. This was at 1AM EST, and vent was empty, so I tried some MP maps for BF2Vanilla. It was awesome! I'm hooked and I'll be playing more. I even was able to muster a couple kills.

I also did some single player for Special Forces and tried shooting someone with my "crossbow". I was quickly knifed.

Yeah, I haven't tried it but I don't think you can hurt people with the crossbow. I think it's for deploying the zipline only.

You can kill with the zipline... deploy it and then wait for someone to use it. When they are halfway down the line, pick it up (G). This will cause them to fall to their deaths and is very funny. You have to be carefully when you deploy your zips and hooks as team mates may use them too, so be sure to check before retrieving your line.

Always pick up your line, as you only get one.

The Heavy Machine Gunner (support) gets gas grenades which are great way of detering armor. They usually have to back up or move out of the area. And with unlimited ammo, it's a great way to help your team.
