Whats your favorite class?

I have a hard time choosing which class I like the best. I would like to focus on one and work on strats with that class in a team role but am having a hard time deciding.

The Soldier:
The GDF Soldier with the rocket launcher and machine pistol is a nasty combo. You cant do much from a distance vs players but you can take out vehichles and deployables with ease at range as well and mow down the strog in close quarters.

The Medic: Fun in both forms and can make or break a good team. But a smart medic stays out of the fray of battle and just plays support. Only firing in defense if he cant get away. Alot of medics like to just plug away at the enemy and when taking damage jump back and heal themselves up but to me thats not what it is about.

The Engineer: The strogest defense class there is. dropping APTs AVTs and Anti Artillery turrents they can stop an offensive team in thier tracks. As well as the ultimate tank player. Dish out the damage and when taking some in return move out of LOS and repair your rig. On top of all of this dropping mines at key locations are easy kills.

The Covert Ops: I use to love sitting up in the hills picking folks off but I soon had the chance to play around with the scoped assult rifle. Mid rang killing machine. Couple this with the best grenades in the game. Third eye camer/ flying drone it is a very versatile class. And of course nothing is funner than disguising your self as the enemy and stabbin them in the back behind the line. Dont forget Radars make or break games.

Field Ops: The Strog Field ops is one of the best deffesive classes in the game. Taking out enemy turrents or leveling the battle ground with the dark matter cannon. As well nasty air strikes and player shields. The GDF field Ops instead of laying out a shields can drop ammo packs for other folks. Very usefull when holed up defending an objective.

As such I think a good team mix is

(3) soldies
(2) Medics
(3) Engineers
(2) Covert Ops
(2) Field Ops

But I am struggling between picking one Hmmm

I've played around with a few of the classes and I have to say hands down
Covert Ops is my all time Fav.

I'm just not quick enough on the mouse to play an offensive class. I find that That I'm much better suited laying cover with smoke grenades, Deploying Radars, Sitting atop hills holding down strategic points at range, and sneaking in to hack objectives.

I never was much on quick heated battles even in WOW. I always played a support role and never was good at PVP because of the fast past, think on your feet action.

I never played FPS games because of that reason and now that I found a class I could strategically place my crosshairs and get a head shot on my own time, I love it!

I'm loving just the basic soldier classes--either setting up the heavy MG to take out infantry and lighter vehicles or pulling out the rocket launcher/obliterator to take out vehicles. You get insta-lock as a fairly early battlesense reward, which is really nice. And I enjoy fighting my way up to place explosive charges on objectives.

I haven't played the ammo support/medic much. Those are pretty sweet too, but I haven't found much to do with them on pub servers.

Once we start getting more organized, I think we will take this info and try to assign our TWL Ladder Team(s) with role assignments based on ability and preference. I was actually just thinking about this subject today myself.

I tend to like playing defense more than offense, but in terms of roles... I like engineer/constructor and covert ops/infiltrator best.

I mostly play engineer, but hop into rocketlauncher or sniper as needed.

I play what ever class is required for the situation, weather its defence or offence. You really should not concentrate on just one class guys. The only one I find never playing is medic because pubbing there really isn't much teamwork without in game team chat.

I change roles usually 3 or 4 times in one map. All depends on what the other team is doing to stop me...

I prefer playing a basic soldier. My favorite weapons are the heavy machine gun and the rocket launcher.

I have tried a few other classes, but for me it is better to stick with one class. Since I'm not a pro at this type of game yet, I'd rather be ok with one class than suck at all of them. =)

I played a bit today and did good in vehicles; engineer is working out well for me. Though I enjoy medic as I can help my team meet their goals without having to run&gun.
