    1/10--game on?

Are we getting together for some fragging tonight? If so, I'll be there, if not, I'll be napping on the couch.

Unsure as to my gaming tonight. I have a Scout meeting until at least 8:30 or 9pm.

Last week was a bit of a disappointment as it was only Gunny, Scott and myself.

Methinks that QW maybe fading into the sunset.

Unfortunately I have a meeting at 7:45PM tonight so I'm unsure what time I will be getting home.

I've been playing Counterstrike nearly every night. Hop onto Steam and come join me.

Bribo..it's been years, but I'll try and jump on one night and play some. I'm pretty sure my install is up to date. I usually start steam every once in awhile to let updates come through.

Ditto. I also got the Orange Box and have played next-to-no TF2, if anyone ever wants to hook that up a little.

I've only played TF2 once. I'd love to give it another try with some fellow AKers.

What is TF2 (sorry for the newb question)?

I have to admit, I really enjoyed QW at first, but it did start to get a little less exciting and a little more repetitive after a while. There aren't that many campaign maps, no real gain is made by playing a lot and/or getting better, and it started to feel a little pointless. However, if we ever end up doing competitive-type play, I think that would perk my interest a bit more, as it would make it feel like I was working towards a goal.

TF2=Team Fortress 2. Part of the Orange Box (HL2 + the first 2 episodes, the very awesome first-person puzzler Portal, and Team Fortress 2). Class-based like QW but with a cartoonish feel (and much lower system specs!) What little I've played of it, I've enjoyed a lot.
